What a wonderful time we had in Carlos Abaitua Center!

Here are two questions for you:

1.- What was your favourite activity in the camp?

2.- What do you think about doing exercise at night?

Aupa laguntxo, proposamen batekin natorkizu: zer iruditzen zaizu gure blogean txiste erakusketa bat egitea? Zure gurasoen laguntzaz txiste ikaragarri politak eta dibertigarriak “egingo” ditugu. Euskaraz zein gazteleraz zein ingeleraz idatzi ditzakezu, berdin dio nola, baina ezinbestekoa da gurasoekin edo aitona-amonekin edo osaba-izebarekin egitea. Elkarrekin egindako txisteak mundialak izaten dira!! Eta denon artean bilduma aberasgarria osatuko dugu.

3rd and 4th level take part in the programme ART THROUGH ENGLISH. This programme is developed by some teachers from different schools and the Artium. This group prepare different units related to art and the competences that have to be learnt by the pupils in Primary school.

Since January 3rd and 4rd level children have been working on the unit “THE BODY”. They have learnt about different bones in the body, the most important organs, parts of the face and designed different clothes.     

First of all, they began doing the silhouette of their own body. After that, they drew the bones and they stamped the organs into it. Then, they drew and coloured the face and they made another silhouette to design different clothes in it.

Our students have had the best opportunity to learn and practice their English

Besides learning English they have also had a great opportunity to make new friends

Our students along with students from other schools and ikastolas have been sharing this great experience, learning english in lessons and also learning living by speaking English language. They have had a great time and made many different activities like cooking, dancing and singing (karaoke), presenting everyday what they have done in class and playing games as well as going outdoor.

We are the students of the 3rd and the 4th levels.

Every week we have 1 hour of Art in English.

We want to show you what do we do.

We are working on VOLUME.

The first day we built a cube using plasticine and toothsticks. After finish it we took a photo of our work.

We learnt many things with this exercise:

• The cube we built had 3 dimensions and the photograph 2.
• We couldn´t touch the cube in the picture in the same way that the cube we built.
• If we throw light on the picture, it remains the same, but if we throw light on the object it makes a shadow.

The second day we worked in groups and we built a structure with the materials the teacher gave us.

Another day we drew the shadow of and structure made from Lego pieces. It looked like an ols Castle.

The tenth of November the students of the 1st and 2nd levels had a story telling in English and the title was “Busy bee”. We had the oportunity to take part in the story and we enjoyed it a lot.

 As you all know, the pupils of the 4th level are doing their Art class in English. We must tell you that we are doing this project under the  guidelines of the professionals of the Berritzegune and the profesionals of the Artium museum. Each of the assistents to the Seminair in which we have taken part also needs a special mention for the effort everybody has done to go ahead with the Project.

Here it is the last work that they proposed to us which is called “Colour in  Nature”. The teacher gave us a piece of a photograph taken of different insects. We didn´t know which insect it was or which part of the puzzle it was.

Our work was to get the same colours, by mixing the primary colours to match the small pieces everyone had and then paint it on a bigger piece of paper.

Denok dakizuen bezala 4. mailakook plastika ingelesez egiten dugu. Esan beharra dago proiektu honetan Berritzeguneko aholkularien eta Artiumeko adituen gidaritzapean egon garela eta beraiek proposatutako azken lan hau da gaur zuei dakarkizueguna, “Naturaren koloreak”. Aipamen berezia ere Mintegian parte hartu duen irakasle bakoitzari Proiektua aurrera eramateko egindako lanagatik.

Irakasleak, intsektuen argazkitik ateratako zatitxo bat eman zigun. Guk ez genekien zer intsektu zen eta zein zati zen, taldeka puzlea osatu behar baikenuen. Zati bakoitza oso txikia zen eta guk kolore berdinak sortuz, lauki haundiago baten tenperaz margotu behar genuen.

Taldekoen marrazkiekin puzlea osatu eta hemen duzue emaitza. Marrazkia ondo irudikatu dugula argazki originalarekin konparatuz  pentsatzen duzue ? Klikeatu marrazkian eta ikus zein lan politak egin ditugun.

Last week we went to Bernedo. We did a lot of activities and the teachers were very nice. My teacher was Ana Marie and she spoke only in english. We made different groups to work.

On Monday we made a volcano. Canada was the winner! At night we did peg´s game.

On Tuesday we did a scarecrow and at night we made a presentation of our country and the karaoke.

On Wednesday we made fruit skwers and at night we played the fairy game.

On Thursday we played to the Olimpic Games and at night we danced in the disco.

Finally on Friday we said goodbye.
